In collaboration with music ceramist Maria Picard, artist Katia Kameli created ten of the thirty birds from the famous poem The Conference of the Birds. Through a special technique, the sculptures were transformed into playable flutes and ocarinas, each with its own distinctive sound.
The flutists Carolin Daub, Sumin Yu, and Emily Malchin bring these unique instruments to life in a musical performance within the exhibition The Canticle of the Birds.
