The recorder focus quartet, comprising four musicians—Cassio Caponi, Carolin Daub, Rong-Jen Hung, and Vladimir Soares—is an international ensemble performing a wide repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to contemporary music. The musicians met while studying recorder at the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart and formed the quartet in 2024. The ensemble is distinguished by its distinctive musical style, blending traditional and modern elements in its programs to create a soundscape that is both original and captivating. Their performances have been praised for technical mastery and imaginative interpretations, combining balanced ensemble playing with improvisation and ornamentation.
