The performance spans different eras and cultures: from Bologna, the birthplace of the cello, and the music of Jacopo da Bologna, one of the most important composers of the Middle Ages, to Persian Radif music, rooted in ancient Persian traditions, and contemporary compositions by Roberto Conz and Vahid Hosseini. The program is complemented by guided improvisations, responding to the unique qualities of the church and its audience.
