The Moomins’ Orchestra: Carolin Daub on the Paetzold recorder.
“Actually, the Moomins are constantly on the move, and most of the time they have to wander through enchanted forests or dangerous moors, i.e., through a dreamy fantasy world that couldn’t be portrayed in the radio play with realistic natural sounds. Therefore, the “Moomins’ Orchestra” was tasked with providing sounds and noises for the diverse landscapes in the Moomins’ world. And no instrument was better suited for this than Carolin Daub’s Paetzold recorder, which imitates the strangest bird noises here and then lends its sound to the menacing snake.” Andreas Bick
